Privacy Policy

Brew & Merge (“the app”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is handled when you use the app.

Summary

Your game progress (coins, high score, unlocked items, settings) is stored only on your device.
If you choose to join the leaderboard, we store a nickname you pick, your best score, and a random device ID. Your nickname and score are shown publicly.
We show ads via Google AdMob, which processes device/advertising data.
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, or precise location.

Game data (on-device only)

Coins, best score, unlocked items and settings are saved locally on your device. We have no accounts and this data is never transmitted to us.

Leaderboard & social features (opt-in)

You can play the entire game without joining the leaderboard. If you do join, we store on our database (hosted by Supabase, EU region):

the nickname you choose,
your best score (all-time and per week),
a random device identifier (a generated ID, so we keep one entry per device — it is not your name, phone number, or Apple account).

Your nickname and score are public and may be shown to other players and in our community channels. You can change or reset your nickname in the app.

User-generated content & moderation

Nicknames are user-generated content. We filter offensive words automatically, and every player can report any nickname (the flag icon on the leaderboard); a reported name is hidden for you immediately and sent to us for review. We may remove nicknames that violate our rules. To report a name or request removal, use the in-app report action or contact us.

Advertising

Brew & Merge shows rewarded and interstitial ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google’s advertising SDK may collect and process:

Device / advertising identifiers (e.g. IDFA)
Coarse device and usage information
Ad interaction data

Google acts as an independent controller for this processing. See Google’s ads policy.

Your choices (consent)

On first use we show Google’s consent form for personalized ads (as required in the EU/EEA/UK).
On iOS we also show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can decline, and change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
If you decline, you will see non-personalized ads instead.

Purchases

Brew & Merge may offer a one-time “Remove ads” in-app purchase via Apple. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive your payment details.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. It contains third-party advertising and a public nickname leaderboard, and is rated accordingly on the App Store.

Data deletion

On-device data: delete the app, or use Reset progress in the shop.
Leaderboard entry: use the in-app reset / “not you?” options, or contact us and we will delete your entry.
Ad data: use Google’s controls linked above.
